Yeah same here. One is called pick-ur-part and another is called U pick parts. The only thing is they have to have what you are looking for and you have to just go down there and see. But when they do its a wrench fest. It is cheap and if you dont mind getting dirty it is well well worth it!

ORIGINAL: Bad Karma

Dudes,
There is a yard here that makes you pull your own stuff and bring it in and check out...almost exactly like Walmart.

It's a frggin' gold mine.
Entire engines-$150, they charge an extra $10 for ALT/AC/or flywheel if you leave it on
Hoods $25
Fenders $20
Rear end (rotor to rotor) $100
ECU $10
Transmission $50

The list goes on and on.

I've already scored (2) HO blocks, a LS1 Camaro Rear end with 13" rotors and 3.73's, (4) VTEC engines and MULTIPLE other items.

I sold two of the VTEC engines and paid for everything else. The downfall is that everytime I go, I see something that I'm not prepared to buy (meaning that I didn't bring cash). I had to put a fe things on plastic, scared as hell, but since finding out that I can sell the VTECs and make like 4 times the $, I don't get as scared.

The other downfall is that they junk out their stock like everyweek so if you don't pull it and buy it taht day, it prolly won't be there when I go back 3 or 4 days later.

They just opened up like a year ago and say that they are part of a Nationwide chain that is supposed to be building more sites across the country.

God Bless America!!,
Ivan

They have both kinds around me. I generally go to the one where you take it off yourself. "U-Pull It".

In both Phoenix and Tucson there are wreckers that have you pull the parts. Several of them in fact.
It's like $125 for any engine.
Some of the smaller stuff like interior panels or taillite lenses are really cheap and the price seem to go down as you buy more.
$650 for an engine from an Exploder is crazy.....
Another good place to try on-line is Car-Parts.com
Wreckers from all over the country are on there with listings......
