Default Fuel Pump problem

I just went out to start up my 5.0 and it wouldn't fire, then I realized I didn't hear the buzz from the fuel pump..... I looked in my Haynes manual and can't even find wehre the fuel pump is. Is there a relay that triggers it or is it all internal? It always sounded like it was on the right rear portion of the car. Any input on what needs to be replaced, the entire pump or just a part, ease of repair and location of the pump on the car? Any help would be greatly appreciated. btw my car is an 89 GT convertible.

There is a relay switch that sometimes pops, its behind the covering by the trunk hatch pop the plastic off and you will see it on the drivers side. Hit that button and see if the pump comes on afterwards. The relay for the pump is located under the drivers seat you can feel it if you stick your arm under the front. It will be either of the 2 unless the pump quit then you have to drop the tank because its a in tank fuel pump!
