What's the mileage/driving restrictions with Classic tags? You'd also need to get insurance for classic tags and I know they have restrictions on what the conditions are you're supposed to follow. I want to say even you went that route, since the car had cats on it from the factory, you'd need tthem on there to get through the first inspection.

In the great county of Monroe, if the car is older then 10 years old it is only a visual check so just run a pipe through the cat and youll be fine or do like my one buddy did and just cut the heat shields off the cat and tack weld them onto the pipe, they never ask any questions and he always passes
