Default throttle body

i talked to a good mexchanic weve been friendsa with for a long time and ihave a problem with my stang. when i rev it it will be ok until i get to about 2000 rpms then it will hesitat like its got a flat spot then when u get to like 3800 it will come out of it. it started when i put the cold air intake, he said i needed to get a bigger throttle body and that will fix it what do u guys think about thi, he said to get a 70mm what do u guys think thatnks a lot.

if your using the factory intake manifold, id go with a 65mm but if its an aftermarket one, go with the 70mm. im still not sure that that is your problem though

Don't see how adding a cold air intake would make it run bad to begin with and also how adding a TB would be needed or help. I'd def say there's another problem.

ya i got a bbk 70mm. when i put it on i started it up to let it idle, then tons of smoke came out from under the car and i looked and my cats caught on fire. they WERE PLUGGED UP. i think this was probly the problem, anyway now i have a bigger tb, plus im gettin catless h pipe and flow, good deal!!!!

check your wires and sparkplugs. I have had that problem so many times. If I were you check the front ones first since its at such a low RPM. I don't know how the CAI could do that but you could have moved a wires to much and got it loose. Good luck. Also the TB wouldn't help in the problem.

ys they are good and i just replaced the plugs. im sure its the cats though, today im gettin bbk o/r h pipe and !!!!!!!
