Any of you the magnaflow catback package on a lx? My tip hangers simply slide into the tips and the 90 degrease hook goes through the rubber holder but there is nothing like a nut or a washer that came with them to keep the hanger locked in. I have raped some narrow duck tape to hold keep them from falling out. One fell out once. Am I missing from the package? the exhaust was for a GT but they swaped out the tips for the lx. It came with GT instructions. Purhaps they missed something otherwize I am looking for a more permident way to secure my tip hangers??

It's funny you posted this today because last May I put a magnaflow exhaust kit on my 5.0 and the kits hangers were just as you described and over time the hanger worked itself free from the rubber holder and came off and i lost it... i've spent over a month and finally today i got a replacement one form magnaflow.... honestly cant believe you posted this today.. but anyhow what i'm going to do is drill a hole and put a cotter pin on there so that when they go through they get pinned and theyll never come out. i was going to thread the rods and put a bolt/washer but i dont want to make the hanger rigid... so that it doesnt break.

I talked with the tech from magnaflow and he says its a design flaw that theres no tapered flange on the rod to prevent backing out.

haha. Yeah certainly a design flaw. Sounds like a good idea. It will certainly be a bit of a tough hole to drill... I love mine also!
