Default RE: another cam question

ORIGINAL: JD1969

What is the duration at .050 on those cams.
It's about time someone asked for this. Advertised duration doesn't place all cams on a level playing field for comparision.

Anyway JD, they are 221/225 for the Stage 1 and 224/232 for the Stage 2 and both have a 112 lobe sep.

If it were solely between these 2 cams, I'd choose the Stage 2. But if you were open to alternatives, I'd lean more towards something like the Comp NX 282HR-14 or at least the Comp NX 274HR-14 if you are afraid of the lift on the other one.

Remember, the larger motor will lower the effective rpm range of the cams. Take that into consideration. You are working with 10% more motor.

And there is no need to go to a larger injector if you are using a wet kit (in principle), but I'd go with 30s just for the motor anyway.
