i agree that it is stupid to put a japanese motor is a mustang but its not a sr20 its actually a rb26det out of a skyline. if you look closely at the intake you can see six runners. and from the factory its actually not a bad motor, it makes 276 horsepower and 262 ft/lbs of torque.i would say thats not to bad for a small displacement motor.

yea i think nissan makes good motors and u can get a lot of power of out them, but keep them in nissans... i dont think any motor should be different from the kind od car it is.

Ah, well that changes things a little bit, then. Skylines are heavy cars; heavier than Mustangs for sure. As for DriftingRz's comment, in real life it'd be cheaper to buy a new car over there than it would be to try to make a Nissan motor work in an old Ford.

Yeah but all it was was a single turbo upgrade from the twin turbos, and it held low boost. The car was built as a hero car for build shots and some driving shots. the mustangs used for the drifting and racing shots used built small blocks from ford racing.
the RB is an awesome motor, one of the few that can handle 600 hp on the STOCK rotating assembly including cams.
and as far as engine swapping, what about 5.0s in miatas??? Car is gay but talk about a fun little ride.

**** yeah man, I might be about to buy one myself. They have a real small wheelbase, and look like a chick car, but once you get over that and realize that they handle like a dream and can make good power, you don't care. I drove a supercharged miata tonight, and let me tell you, I don't doubt that it could hang with a stock SVT Cobra. The guy said it made 250HP at the wheels and it certainly felt that way. I would absolutely love to have a 5.0 powered miata, but unfortunately costs about $15k to do the conversion. Not worth it if you ask me...
