Default Throwout Bearing?

Alright guys. My car is in my sig. I have a stock T-5. When I lightly push down the clutch and hold it (maybe an inch in) before the engaging point, I can hear a whining noise coming from somewhere around the trans. It's kinda like a whining/scraping noise I guess? Iono. Hard to explain.

I thought I read on here before that this was a throwout bearing?

eh?

Default RE: Throwout Bearing?

A bad T/O bearing would make noise at all times, usually. It would either increase or go away when you press the clutch.
