well basically what i want to know is what are some good things to change to free up power and how to use it
The tweecer will allow you to change the ignition timing for a given load and rpm. This is a major advantage over just changing the base timing.
You will also be able to adjust the fuel flow when at wot change the target afr. These are major advantages for running nitrous.

You will see power improvements with the above changes, but will also need to get a wideband O2 kit to supplement the tweecer.

The other major advantage is that you will be able to make all of the above changes without affecting your part throttle response or idle quality.
This will make the car much more fun to drive.

Also, if you have removed the emissions systems, then you will be able to disable the function of those systems in the new tune. No more CEL, or codes for removed sensors.

Check out the tweecer software, it should make things a little more clear.
I can talk about it all day, but it won't ever make sense to you until you dig into it.

I think you will have to have a laptop for datalogging, but I am not sure.

Like mentioned above you do want the RT model, so you can datalog.

I found a laptop on ebay for $325 delivered.

Good luck with it
