Default Stock Rear End 2002 GT

I'm trying to get the specs on the rear end for a 2002 GT. What is the stock gear ratio, what is the width, and does it come stock with limited slip?

Thanks

Dave

wrong forum but..

not sure on the "common" gear ratio's but there are different options. They are 8.8 rears and yes they should come stock with a trac-lok.

So far that will work. The bigger question is the width. I can narrow it, but prefer to just drop it in.

Thanks

Dave

Why do you want to narrow it?

I'm looking for a rear end for a '35 Dodge rod. The width needed is about 59" or so. I found a '86 Lincoln rear end, but it needs to be narrowed and I am having a problem finding shortened axles for it.

Ohhhhhhh I see. Well, if you want to get more detailed answers it would be better off in the 4.6 section. They should be able to help you out a little more than we would.

if your going to narrow it, try a fox body rear, there narrower than 99+ rear ends

get a 9" out of a 67-70 mustang, thats 59" otherwise the 66-77 bronco used a 58" 9" rear, the only 8.8 that may be close is out of an explorer. i believe that is 59" but i could be wrong.
