A9L
This is the most aggressive (timing & fuel) computer which is available.

The X3Z (93 Cobra) will require changing the MAF and will not make more power.

Why do you want a new computer?

I think mine is burnt up. I drove thru a big rain storm yesterday, and my stang started sputtering and blowing black smoke. Its getting choke with too much fuel right. So I replaced the MAF and the ICM. Still does it. So I looked at the computer and the insulation around it was wet, water got inside that kick panel some how. And I cannot get any codes outta the computer. It wont even initate the KOEO test. Any ideas?

If water got inside your car, there could be any number of electrical problems.

I would have no idea where to start.

Did you let everything fully dry?

You will have to do some pin tests on the wire harness, I think.
If you simply plug in a good computer, while a fault still exists, you could end up with 2 fried computers.

This is probably bad "Mustang Forums" etiquette, but there is a guy on stangnet that will know how to check out the wiring. Go there and post your question in the 5.0 tech section.
When jrichker responds, you will have a good chance of finding the problem.

Good Luck,
jason
