New Hood Pics

RE: New Hood Pics
The metal work took a lot of time and it also made most of the shape. The problem was that the tin is so thin even stitch welding didn't prevent warping.
Me and my dad used Leading on his Camaro, where the rear quarters met the roof panel. We had to replace both and he doesnt like plastic fillers, he's old school and now that ive done the leading, i like it also. Plus it seals any type of rust in with it. Takes a little more time than plastic filler but it works nicely.

=D your car is like an icon for mine, i really like yours, i just think you need to blackout the headlights and trim.
how do those cobra rims work for you, i was thinking of getting some.

Rims work out alright. They rubbed the front control arms but not anymore with time but there will be way more clearance with tubular arms.
I plan on getting some healight covers for it again. I lost one when I first got the car and haven't replaced them, but now with the tint and hood it'll look really sick.

As proud as I am with it it's something I probably won't do again. It was cheaper in materials to do it myself but it's pretty labor intensive to tack weld it. If I could TIG weld or had one it'd be faster.
Also thanks a bunch for the compliments. It's much more subtle than I thought it was going to be. I didn't even want a cowl when I put the engine in, but had to run an intake spacer to clear the tall valve covers to clear the rocker stud girdles. It is what it is.
