If you dont want to buy new stuff u can use stock stuff. I bought all new arp bolts for everything lower intake, oil pan, header, timing cover..... Comes with everything just have to use some stock things. Also while u are there put new waterpump thermostat hoses and things like that. Just didnt want to chance things with the luck i have lol

ya all the stock bolts will work but i suggest new lower intake bolts because they are probably nasty.

How many miles are on your motor, if theres quite a bit why not take it in and have it rebuilt and shortblocked, then you won't need to worry about how to do a cam and you'll know everything is go. More waiting involved, but I, personally would feel better about things. That's what I did with my motor. Pulled one from a junkyark and had the machine shop do their thing while I ran around on my old motor. Then dropped it in, in a weekend. Give yourself a lot of time don't expect to do it in one day, chances are your going to be needing something else you don't have.

You'll need a good socket set, new head bolts/studs (if it doesn't come w/ them), RTV, fuel line disco tools, PATIENCE....

I'm basically doing the same thing. I just replaced my head gaskets and will finish putting it together this weekend. It's not so bad, but having a little help will make it easier.
