Duraspark ballast resistor.

Duraspark ballast resistor.
Hey all, got a couple of questions.
I'm tryin to get rid of this stupid HEI style disty I have in order to put on a duraspark ignition on my ranger (5.0L,AOD). So here my dilema, I have most of the wiring figured out except 1 of the plugs. Its the one with 2 terminals in the plug. 1 of the wires is red and one is white. I know that one of the wires needs a ballast resistor. I was wondering if this one would work http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku
Basically, I need to know whether that one will work and if not what is the resistance I need? Thanx for any input.

RE: Duraspark ballast resistor.
I've never used a ballast resistor on my Durasparks. I use a modern coil, like an Accel unit.
The red wire is hot in run.
The white wire is an option. I tie it to ground and forget about it. Or you can link it to the crank circuit to retard timing during start up.
