Hello all, My Name Is Joe I am 26 and live in maine I just picked up a 1990 lx 5.0 with 92,000 miles, hell yea the old hatch fox. the only mods on it as of yet are dual flows and a mourso cold air intake. So this is where all of you can help. What is the best bang for the buck? bolt on's? supercharger? or what?

Thats a nice car, good straight body on it. Looks clean to. Nice.

Id go with some subframe connectors, then some gears, then do either a Supercharger or a H.C.I swap, by then your going to be making more power than your car is going to be able to lay down, so then your going to need some Lower Control arms.

So thats my order...

1.) Subframes
2.) Gears, 3.73 for T5, 4.10 for aod.
3.) H/C/I swap or supercharger
4.) Lower control arms.

Check out the stickies. In the stickies it says "tech articles". Go into that and than find the first mods list. Read that, it will tell you what the best bang for the buck is for your car, etc. and will give you a gereral idea of parts for the future.

I would do Upper/Lower Contol arms before any engine mods. If you cant plant the power, its no good. Also, if he goes with boost, 355's for the t-5 is much better!!

Yea, i agree with the first part about the control arms, i hate spinning and 5.0's have bad traction issues. So thats a good idea.

I went from 3.55's in my old rear to my 3.73's in my new rear and i couldnt even feel the difference. If there was any it was very small.

Incidentally, I just got back from Maine yesterday. I was in South Brooksville/Penobscot Bay. The whole week I was there, I was looking for foxbodies, but didn't see even one! Glad to see that someone over there has one.
