Default Wondering some things...

I wasn't sure where to post this at all, but I was just curious about some things and can't quite make up my mind. I am new here, and I believe I am getting a trade for an '87 Firebird Formula, 305 TPI, only 62k miles on it. Needs a fender and headlight, which I already have. My question seems to be that I am looking for a 5.0 Foxbody convertible, and was wondering if this would be a good trade. I don't know much about Mustangs because my mother is a Mustang person and the last Mustang she had was an '89 GT convertible, back in the early 90s. Someone tell me if I should trade the Bird for someone who has a Mustang convertible. This Firebird will probably just sit there until I decide to mod it, since I already have a '79 Esprit which I am currently dumping most of my parts money into. Thanks.

You don't have to mod the bird. I say ditch the 87 firechicken and get the mustang.

Default RE: Wondering some things...

I am looking at making a race car and I've seen a 5.0 convertible race car before and it looked pretty good. I don't want to race the '79 Bird I have because it has T-Tops and the original owner twisted the original frame completely and then the control arm ripped off on the passenger side because of a minor accident. Which explains why I am replacing frames, the bored-over 301 I have in there has way too much torque for a frame alone so we have to tie frame rails. I like the Formula I am getting, but there really isn't anything too special about it other than it has low miles, which isn't a big deal.
