Default RE: New tires!!!!!!!!!

Randy78045 you dis the 18 year olds and then don't take the time to be sure of the spelling of phenomenon! Well I spelled it correctly and I dis the 18 year old also. kidding guys. I wish I was 18 again. Even 28 would be nice but 38 was a good time although I must say I peaked at 48. Now I'm half way to 58. How old am I?
I am adding a 10" 3800 rpm stall to my '99 convertible this winter and am looking for a set of drag radials, 315/35-17's. I am between NITTO's because I get the feeling they are a more streetable tire. Maybe I am misled by the better mileage.
The other is the BFG DR's, the ones that have a similar tread to NITTO's, and NOT the old BFG DR's with a slick middle and tread for about an inch or so on each edge. I understand these stick much better than the NITTO's but I hear some ridiculous mileage claims like the one above where they lasted 1 1/2 months!!! You must have done a burnout at every stop!
I guess I will start a new thread and see what the experienced guys have to say. Not that you guys aren't experienced. Didn't Hendrix call his band the Jimi Hendrix Experience? What does peaking mean anyways? mark
