I have no problems at all with my MAC unequal length shorties and they were 130 bucks and they still haven't rusted after a year. Haven't had one problem with them at all, I'd highly reccomend them for the price.

Only problems w/ Mac is that they don't have a flange that connects all the primaries and they warp under heat, so when you take them off, they are a PITA to get back on flush.

You said you don't want the chrome bbk's...l would go w/ the ceramic or look at FRPP headers. They are stainless steel and the ceramic set is Jethot coated. You can get the Jethot FRPP pair at livernoismotorsports.com for 289......

Youll get as much power out of headers as you would 1.7's, but with better sound seriously, the 5hp gain from a 1.7 rocker isnt worth the 250+install.

I want to get FRPP headers but they run a little expensive, I may go with MAC because they are so much cheaper..........
