Default Whats the name of the tool to pull the carrier bearings?

Was wondering what the tool is called to pull the carrier bearings when doing the gears in the rear? Thanks

I'm not sure what diff you're refering to, but the 8.8 bearings fall right out when you remove the carrier.

They don't work that great though. If you have a Dremel with a cutoff wheel, then that's better I think. I've done it both ways. Those races really bind in there after years of driving. When you use a Dremel, the race makes a "ping" noise once you cut all the way through. Then it just pulls right out easily.

On the other hand, you'll be beating yourself to death with a slide hammer. You'll hammer that thing with all you got, and it still won't come out.

used a punch on each end with a hammer on it, theres lil tabs where to hit it at

well if u hit it from opposite so u go in front n hit the backside of it, not really tabs just like round and bend so u can hit it
