spark plugs wires...are thicker wires better?
i scorched the no name brand wires on the stock shortys and its down to the copper in some spots... i just noticed as i took off the front bumper...crane has 11mm wires...ford racing makes good 9mm taylor wires are great but unassembled and others are 8.8 etc. whats the difference? a sparks a spark, it doesnt run too bad with a few thinned out wires now my stangs just got timing advanced, cai and a track heat intake tb. etc. so its not a full out race engine. but can i get opinions on different wire sizes?

I think the thicker the wire the more resistance it has to heat (secondary to more insulation)... can't go wrong with Ford 9mm wires for $40 though... get some wire looms so it keeps the wires up off of the headers.

several black zipties work just as good its my quick fix and looks somewhat neat and clean the way i have it setup until i get the money to afford a full tank of gas and new wires =) i know ford racing 9mm's got good rep but what about crane's 11mm ones...are the bigger ones worth the extra money?

I wouldn't spend the money on those wires unless you had the rest of the ignition to go with it (Meaning: Distributor/TFI Module, Coil, Ignition Control Box), otherwise, its a waste of dough...

resistence per foot is more important then wire thickness. MSD has the lowest resistance (50ohms per foot) of all the wire manufacturer. this means more spark is making it to the plug. most plug wires are 500-1000ohms+
