all ya got to do is look for your axel code on your door Its the same label where your VIN# is!!. Look under the AX on the bottom right!! Mine has a E which is 3.27. Here are the codes!!
8- 2.73
Y- 3.08
F- 3.45
5- 3.27
6- 3.73
2- 3.55 ...1989-91
7- 3.07 ...1992-93 M- 2.73
Z- 3.08
R- 3.45
E- 3.27

Personally, I like the 3.08 gears in my 94 GT. It's good for high speeds and cruising.
But, if you do get the 3.73's or 4.10's maybe consider getting the car to hook better (get some traction bars or fatter tires if you already haven't).

Mine had 3.08's and i ran mid 11's with 477 rwhp 5 speed. I have 3.73's to install next week with lower and upper control arms, And welding in Sub frames also. gears do help and i run a 315/35/17 rear tire

Believe you got it backswards MD, the autos came with the 2.73's and the stick cars had the 3.08's, at least in '88 that's the way they came.
