All the 5.0 HO motors with a hydraulic roller cam run the 13726548 firing order. This is the 351W firing order. Now allot of the standard 5.0's......mid-late 80's towncars, crown vics etc. use the 289/302 firing order...15426378. The firing order is based on the camshaft! SO, unless you have a cam with a 289/302 firing order, you need to have it on the 351 firing order. When you are rewiring it, are you sure you are starting with the #1 cylinder terminal on the cap??

Hope this helps you.
