Stock 88 GT

I got a 88 Gt and I could be cruising down the road running fine then out of the blue it start hesitating and popping like small backfire. I took care of the basics, plugs, wires,cap, rotor, fuel filter and cleaned the throttle body but it still does it. have you checked your fuel pressure?

check egr , it works at part throttle cruise , if its sticking or if there is a prob with the solenoid ect ect ?

fuel press. is next on my list. Also today I replaced the Map sensor and I was wondering, Do I have to do anything to reset the computer? I don't know much about mustangs so if you could help me out I would appreciate it.

You just have to unplug the battery for alittle while to reset it. Like 10 - 15minutes or so i think. Not sure exactly how long though.

Stock....how did you solve it??? was it the fuel pump?? computer? Map sensor? egr?? I'm curious...thanks
