i got new tail lights from 50 resto and i put on the black butyl (makes it stick) and then put on the tail lights...they seemed not like a good fit and then i got the car washed and water got inside the lights...did i do somethin wrong or was it just a bad pair of tails?

Did you test fit the lenses before putting them on and did you get the mating surface completely clean?

i test fitted em and i took off the old butyl but not like completely (still some parts on car)
