Make sure you do not create a cooling problem because you did not want to fix a motor problem. If your cooling fan still works good, I would say fix your problem.

I just installed a Lincoln Mark VIII fan in mine.

fit like a glove and works like a charm, cost $50 with 30 day warranty from junkyard.

hooked it up with a 30amp relay from radio shack and it just comes on with key.
same thing ill be doing

did u upgrade ur alt tho? im already running a system, and some aftermarket gauges that all come on with the car on and with the heat on at idle i dont think im even at 14 volts. car charges well tho.. almost 16 volts at idle with nothing running

I wouldn't try it with the stock (weak) 75amp alt. I'm planning on this mod and I've got my sn95 g3130amp alt at home waiting to be installed next weekend.

ok one more time why was this thread brought back up its from october and vigs has already gotten the fan and yes you can run this fan with the stock alt i have been running mine since the summer on the stock alt on my 84 with no problem
