Why dont you just go tho the parts store and tell them you have a Mustang without a/c!
Or you could try the rope thing its up to you!
Mainly because the routing is different, Power steering pump is in a different place on A/C cars. Piece of string works well, did that when I deleted my smog pump

You cant just bypass the AC compressor without some modifications or the belt will rub between the tensioner and the water pump pulley.

what kind of modifications? different belt route? seems like it'll jump right across without a problem, but im only guestimating

just go to napa and ask for a belt for fox with no a/c..oh yes some came with no a/c
