RE: No torque
Ok, I think i figured out the prob. The owner before me put a cobra short block in it so my car needs to be tuned for that cam. Hopefully this will fix my prob cuz my v6 vert got up into the rpms faster. Im also replacing all the throttle body gaskets tommorow to see if that helps anything. it shoulds like there is a leak right there. I know my way around that track so thats not the prob.

RE: No torque
well i found the leak there was no gasket on the throttle body. But the prob still remains. i can feel the car surging as i drive it. nothing huge but just a tiny one. the cobras had a 351 cam in it. the HO had a normal 302 cam in them. im going to take it to a place to have it dyno tuned as soon as i can get some money.

RE: No torque
depending on what year cobra motor you have their were a few 351 cobras their not just a 302 witha 351 cam. those cams were also a flat tappet hydraulic cam not a rollor cam. but those are the cheapest cams i've ever seen. can get them for $35 a pop.

RE: No torque
Well, i went and talked to the guys about dyno tuning and they said they couldnt do much for me cuz i dont have any type of chip or programmer to tune. So im going to start trying to find the prob. in a different direction. Im going to take my h pipe off and replace it with an off road X. I think my cats may have collapsed. I also want to know why are the verts so much slower than the coupes. there is only about 150lbs in curb weight difference?
