whats the difference between these to??? i believe that the p heads came off an explorer but not really sure...also can i use the shorty headers on these or will there be clearence issues?/?

GT40P's came off of explorers.. And yes you can run shorties.. i'm runnin bbk shorties on my car

P heads have a different sprak plug angle, thus requiring different headers or long tubes with angled plug boots.

gt40s came off of explorers too, 1996-1997.5 then they changed to gt40p.

the gt 40s have larger intake and exhaust valves, the gt40p has larger intake valves only, the exhaust valves are the same size as the e7 heads. The P's make slightly more power than the gt40s

so are they better than the e7's and is it gonna be difficult to change spark plugs when doin a tune up????is it worth puttin on?????thanks again

In stock form, the P heads make more power up to .500 lift, after that the GT40's flow more.... W/ some mild porting, the GT40's will be better heads all around.

if you get different headers which you have too then doing spark plugs aint worse then normal, but aint easiest car to do it on to begin with.

so im not able to use my shorty bbk's then right?????? what headers should i use...all i want is something better than stock heads wit my f cam im puttin in...
ps there givin me the p heads...so should i use them
