Replacing hatch?

Can the hatch be replaced? what would this require? just any hatch from a 79-93?

What do you mean, can it be replaced??? you can get fiberglass bolt on or pin on hatches and also lexan to replace the glass if this is what youre talking about...

Get a fiberglass hatch! The metal hatch weighs a LOT guaranteed ET drop with a fiberglass hatch.

No special tools are required.

It's easy to replace. Just make sure you have a friend help. That thing is heavy. The hardest part is just threading the wires back through it. It's held in by two bolts under the rear headliner panel.
