Mass air questions
Right now i have a cobra intake 70mm throttle body and trickflow heads and soon some headers nothing has been installed yet. Someone told me i wouldnt be able to get over 300 rear wheel hp without converting to mass air. First off is this true, and secondly what do i need to convert my car from speed denisty to mass air and how much will it cost and how long should it take to convert. Thanks

RE: Mass air questions
Speed density has an issue with certain cam profiles, but you can easily break 300hp with the right setup. People move to mass air because it's not as fussy. You need a conversion kit http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...tKeyField=1179

RE: Mass air questions
I wouldn't buy a kit....get the pieces individually so you can get the parts you want/need. You'll want a bigger than stock MAF and you should be able to buy the inj wiring harness on ebay or somewhere for a decent price w/ the computer (A9L).

RE: Mass air questions
i didnt have any problems with basic bolt on until i put a ported set of GT40 heads on my car then it started to missfire and have driveability problems. with the conversion i got a computer and the top of the mass air sensor from a wrecked 91, then i baught a mass air conversion......it was the conector to the top of the mass air to the computer. u had to splice into the computer.
