I dont think that bassani makes headers for a 5.0? I always thought that they didnt for some reason, I may be wrong though. If you are just looking to build a solid 12 second I would just do a decent h/c/i with a mild built suspension. That along with a good set of tires and gears should put you into the 12's with ease.

maybe i want lower than 12's then, im not even sure man. all i know is i run about 14.2? now and its decent to learn on. screw it, forget what i said about an estimated time, obviously not lower than 11.5 1/4, but we'll say i want about 450RWHP, similar tq. should i go for the 351W block? i see them on ebay for only 850bucks, rebuilt. an extra 350$ for forged pistons, definetly want those. I'll be dumping some money into the suspension for sure, i dk if stock mustangs handle like garbage, but mine sure does. On top of whatever i finish the motor with, i want it to have a Vortech v2 SC with the aftercooler, they say good for 190hp. no nos, though.

The 351 is a great idea. I'm not too sure about the ebay motors but the idea of a 351 is good. There a only a few things that need to be changed to get them to fit. A couple of people on here have made the swap. They could give you plenty more info.

You dont have to go with a 351W block though. You could get deep into the 11's with a h/c/i car with a good suspension and slicks. Also, if you want to reach 450rwhp than just do the same thing you were going to do before (h/c/i w/ suspensio) and just put a supercharger on it. Just make sure you get a good blower cam and heads to match.

right, but, im seeing the 351 block for just a little more than a 302, like 1200 w/ forged pistons. is it worth it to just go with this block? I am going to go with the best cam/headers/and intake and probably a vortech2 charger w/ aftercooler. Also, a lightweight radiator, bigger alternator, and if i can afford it a t56.
