Car runs like crap and i dont know what the codes mean
I have a 87 5.0, it is still speed density, the only thing engine wise that is modified is the exhaust. which is BBK longtubes and o/r x-pipe. My car has a miss that comes and goes and has started idleing at 2,000rpms. The TPS was replaced 2 months ago and i cleaned the IAC i think it is. Its on the front side of the throttle body. The codes i got were: (23) TP signal out of specified range, (67) neutral drive switch or circut, (63) TP sensor or circut. Codes 23 & 67 were O codes 63 was a C code. The R codes were (23) again, (41) Lean Fuel Mixture,
(33) canister or EGR valve not operating properly. If anyone can help me i would greatly appreciate it. I've just about had it with this thing. By the way i have replace plugs and wires, cap, and rotor to try and figure out the miss all the wires are back in the right order. Once again thanks for any help, ERIC

- Clean/Maintain Salt & Pepper Connectors TPS, SIGTRN and VREF are interconnected through them...
- Check VREF and SIGRTN at the TPS connector for contact problems, 5vdc, continuity to ground, and signal output respectively......TPS might be gone, even if it's 2-mo. old......do you have the EGR spacer coolant lines bypassed?..........if you do, the spacer will overheat when the EGR is opened, causing the TPS to overheat and not last very long.....those lines are for cooling of the EGR spacer purposes, and since you don't have any EGR related codes (31, 33, 34, etc)...it is overheating. My 2¢.
