Default 351 Clevland or Windsor??

I have a few questions on a 351.

What is the difference between the 351C & 351W?
Which one is better?
Will both fit the stock 5 speed tranny?
Which would you go with??
Which is better FI'd (Fuel Injected)?

Thanks!

Clevland is considered a big block and winsor is small block.

Heads are differnt and valley pans.

The winsor takes less modifications to work.

I dont know the exact differences between the two but i think you'd be much happier with a windsor. They are much easier to make power, and will bolt up farily easy. The windsor will fit the stock 5 speed whereas the cleveland will not. I dont think i have ever even seen a fuel injected cleveland either. Windsor FTW!!!!

most of your 5.0 parts will bolt up to the windsor, since they're both windsor blocks. a cleveland is totally different, so it would be much harder to make work in a mustang.

lmao a clevland blows the doors off a windsor..yall need to check info and read.. a clev has huge valves and huge ports and flow tons of air up top..and the block is taller then a windsor.. ask a real exp engine builder that knows like a machine shop..ill take a clev over a windsor any day..butthen again i know the difference in them...clevs are a lil more $ to have done as far as intakes and stuff, but are awsome power plants..all ya have to do is read a book, and learn..somtimes gettin info on here isnt allways right...donttaker my word for it..check the facts...

first of all the cleveland is not a big block, second of all the parts for a cleveland are very hard to come by third off it wont bolt up to ur tranny u will need a C4 or a toploader, the windsor is better for two reasons, bolts right up to the fox platform and aftermarket scene is huge. The cleveland is a much better motor stock, it has well over 300 hp and has sent 1971 mustangs down the 1/4 mile in the mid 13's stock. But as far as puttin one in ur fox stick wit a windsor
