i prob will. i just got the call from the bank saying my loan for a trans didnt go thru... so this cam idea is taking a back seat, as is my exhaust... now i gotta save up a grand to buy a tranny.... great.

Sorry to hear that man. But yeah I would do the MAF conversion first then and just get the cam u want, i've had to buy parts over before and it sucks.

yea... this whole idea has been put off... now im looking in to bebuild kits... i just dont have the time to do it... man, shyt never works out... this blows. idk... i guess ill either save and get astroperformances rebuilt t5(1000, but they give you 200 back when you send your core in). or idk wut... ever have those days ya just wanna get rid of your car, cuz its always somethin... yea today turned into one of them.

yea.. were see wut happens... i no iwont ever get rid of it... its just frusturating.... it finally passed inspection so i was gonna get a loan and get a new trans for it. they call back, sayin my income is great, but i haev no credit(in only 18, and dont have credit)... parents cant cosign cuz there credit is shyt... so im basically ****ed... im looking into local shops now to see what it would cost to get mine rebuilt...

Ehhhh kinda right. You must also realize that a low LSA and a high duration will cause the peak hp and torque numbers to move up higher in the rpm range. If you go too big and don't have all the other supporting mods in place (heads, intake, exhaust) your car is going to be slower. Many times people buy a cam that is too big for thier application and end up with a car that is slow. Sure a big cam sounds cool, but your the one who will look a tool when a Honda beats you.
