LentechAutoimatics.com, manual valve body w/ pushbutton OD delete is the way to go, but B&M is reputable to my knowledge.

What kind of shift problems are you having? I don't think this will be the solution, but I may be able to tell you what to try.

The shift kit will firm up your shifts and make it shift faster / harder into gear. If you get a nice kit, you will even chirp the tires when shifting from 1-2, and the shift from 2-3 will throw you back in your seat if you have nice gears and power. It's a great thing to have, but it's designes more to enhance performance enhancements rather than to fix problems.

My tranny quit 2nd gear so i talked to guy at trans shop and he said rebuild for 1500.00. I went home to think about it and put a can of trans-x in it and it went back to work and has not done it again but once. he said 2nd gear bands wre gone but they wont get fixed by a can of trans-x will they. NO!
so i am wondering what to do other than a rebuild. right now its workin fine, just lazy shiftin like always. I can bark tires goin to 2nd so it aint too bad.

I have the B&M kit and it has improved my shift firmness, but I was thinking to upgrade to a Performance Automatic, or a Lentech
valve body
