I don't know about ya'll but I like the 96-98 cobra. They did come with 305 stock. Sounds like a good deal to me. Weren't the blocks aluminum? Recently in a magazine they put some bumpsticks and a KB blower on one and put 500 HP. Doesn't sound to bad to me.
was that a chevy motor? and fyi... magazine hp isn't always as attainable as they make it seem, those numbers were created with the best of the best everything, including tuners, supporting mods, and was that rwhp or to the crank? mag title/month? please, thanks

It was either Mustang 5.0 or muscle mustangs and fast fords. It was just here in the last month or two. I have the magazines in my room but right now I am sitting in class waiting for my prof.

for that kind of money you could find a clean 93 cobra thats only going to increase in value and is not something you see everyday..

It was Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords December 2006 Issue. On page 178, It is on a regular dyno and not a chassis dyno. That is still around 450 to the wheels. Sounds good to me.

5.0's are cheaper as far as mods/parts go, so a 94-95 GT or Cobra would be a good way to go. If you want a 4.6 in the 96-98 range, get a cobra!!!!!! The GT will just let you down. The Cobra's were 4V motors and make great power in stock form... I'd take a SN Cobra all day long....I dig 'em.
