car start problem
I read the historicals on people having problems with their car not starting when hot, but most of them had done maintenance on their car when the problem started. I was working on my brakes and left the key in too long and the battery died on the car. I got a jump and ran the car for about an hour up and down the highway to charge up the battery. Now all my lights and everything are good the battery voltage seems to be fine, but everytime i stop the car when its hot i have to give it a bit of time to cool down or it wont crank over. How could my letting the battery die cause this kind of problem??

RE: car start problem
starter problem.. i had the same problem with my car. i couldnt even drive the car for 15 minutes and shut it off. the car would not start after that. it would turn over really slow. i changed so much stuff. the ignition coil, fuel pump, ignition module. and finally decided to changed the starter. i have long tubes so over time, the headers overheated the big *** stock starter. so i decided to go with a mini high torque starter that i got off of ebay for 45 bones brand new! works like a charm. the only problem with the starter is that it engages too long so that it sitll spins fo rabout a seconds and a half after the engine has started... sry to thread jack but is there anyway to fix this?

RE: car start problem
sorry for the delay on the questions for me my internet went out but it starts to turn but then sounds like it would if the battery were dead and doesnt go past that one turn to finish starting. I did look at my battery cables and there is corrosion building up and I had planned on getting new cables and a new battery just not so soon as I dont have the money for them yet. Thanks for the info tho.
