Default ? about switching to carb

Please help out if possible... I have an 88 speed density that Im rebuilding the motor on, but before I spend over 1,100$ on mass air conversion, new intake, injectors, throttle body etc.. I have a question about carbing this setup instead.

What exactly do you have to do to switch to carb computer-wise? I mean does the alternator or anything other than ignition and distributor have anything to do with the computer? What else do I need to do so there's no strange problems going on.
Thanks!

You need a new distributer and fuel pump. I had a powermaster alternator with 1 wire setup so I didn't need to rewire the factory one. I'm not sure if you really even have to it might be on a different harness. You can remove the computer and the powertrain harness. They won't be needed after a carb swap.

The fuel pumps for EFI are way too high pressure for a carb.
I'd use an Aeromotive or a Holley Blue pump and in any case a regualor with it set to about 6-7#........

you dont need a holley blue the red will do just fine and its rated to pump enough fuel for over 500hp but you will need a new intake manifold the carb best way to do the dizzy is get something like this one which an just be hoocked up to msd ignition box like the 6al http://www.mustangsunlimited.com/ite...s&CatKey=74-01
