Default RE: Turbo 5.0 rx7 project

ORIGINAL: vega

The reason i am going turbo and only want 400 tq/hp is because of this reason. WHEN i am not too lazy to put a ford 9 inch in the rear i can make more power easily with the turbo the turbo i can turnn down the boost at anytime and actually have a tune better than the regular 5.0 for MPG for the daily. but by push button i can upload a new bin specifically for high boost - then turn up boost and i can race it at any point and time.

the rearend in the rx is good only to 350-400 tq unfortunatlly- this is the only week pitn other than the motor itself in teh rx that i have found. the rx will handle better thant the stang is the reason i am putting the 5.0 in it. it will maintain a 50/50 ratio yet have the power of the 302 turbo. wich btw is nuts if you have ever driven one.
use a stock motor with a turbo, it will make 400rwhp easy with less than 8lbs of boost.

putting the gt40 heads on it will cause you more work than necessary to achieve your goal.

why dont you keep your 80 cubic inch turbo rotary motor in there. those things are CRAZY!
