I need help from you guys. I recently sold my 2001 Mustang GT because I wanted a Fox body instead. On that note most of my knowledge is with the modular engines. I've found a 93 coupe that has been converted from a four cylinder. They used a long block from a 99 explorer. My question for you guys is this motor the same as what came in the 90's Mustang. I mean as far as internals, heads, and the block its self. The only thing that was changed on the engine was the cam. Does anyone see anything bad with the 99 longblock? Thanks in advance............

Hypereutectic pistons (not forged), same block, different timing cover, GT40p heads and a GT40 intake (cast version)........

Thanks, I'm doing some research on the GT40p heads and I'm not sure if I like them. Seems there is an issue with header fitment (due to spark plug angles) and spark plug wires being to close to the headers?
