Default Typhoon Intake???

Quick question, how good are typhoon intakes, I know they're made similar to Edelbrock, but how good are they, because I just came across a huge deal on one.

I have one, I like it. They have some casting flash and some clean up is needed. Not bad for the price.

Well, define clean up? Also, the one I'm looking at comes with the 70mm TB, and Elbow adator along with the intake, all polished chrome and under $500 shipped.

Well, since they're made in China, the quality is what I'd call sub par. Where the edges are from it coming out of the mold, sometimes there's "extra" metal there that shouldn't be. Also if you want a lil better flow, you can port it as well. A grind here, a grinde there. Just a lil time needed is all.

So basically I just beed to port the intakes where they mount toghter, and where the elbow adaptor meets the intake, and where the intake meets the heads right?

They don't have any direct bolt on issues do they, like not quite fitting up right?

No I didn't have any w/ mine. I did have to make the holes where the fuel rails mount to the lower a lil bigger. Just remember, in the end you get what you pay for. To me, at the time it was worth the money. Would I buy it again over the Edelbrock, probably not.

Take it for what it's worth.
