Cheapest worthwhile foxbody?

RE: Cheapest worthwhile foxbody?
Get a 92 lx 5.0, and i dont just say that cause thats what i have
remember 92 is the last year they came stock with forged pistons, and before 89 they use speed density instead of MAF, which makes hotrodding harder. Really, your by far the best off if you go with a 5.0 between 89 and 92 as those have the engines that are the cheapest to bring to high number horsepower. Oh, and the LX is because, atleast in 92 (i dont know so much about other years), the gt has a rediculously heavy bodykit that makes it a very noticable bit slower in the quarter mile. and, last of all, a 92 because that is the newest of the foxes that are the best for hotrodding, and thus the car will probably be in better shape.

RE: Cheapest worthwhile foxbody?
pretty much what ever you can find a good deal on, if your planning on makeing it into a drag car, then im sure it doesnt really matter what motor is in it or how new it is. but just look through your local shoppers or other sales magazines, and ask around.
im in central IL, and im about to buy a 87' GT with 103,000 miles that is in the best shape i have ever seen an all original stang in, in person, for $3,900. so its all just about what you can find. start hunting!

Im looking for a cheapo foxbody in my area to make into my racing car, my sn95 is too mint to modify (also its an AOD vert)
how much would your average foxbody with 130k+ miles on it, in decent condition, interior can be ****ty, few dents is fine, but about how much do they usually go for?
