They wont hurt your current mods, long tubes equalize the exaust pulses better (like an x pipe does) and dramatically increases scavaging. Just make sure you get the right size tubes. You can go to slow50.com or slo50.com i forget which it was and they have a program to pick the right size tube.

i got shorties on my 347 w/ 3" collectors and dumps and putting doan 373 RWHP and 427 ft lbs tq and no problems yet, i like em, LTs are a PITA to put in, im going to get blown, hehe soon so ill let you know how they like the adder!

Are you sure? Because I am pretty sure they are 3 wire O2 sensors AND heated...
