hmmm 2000rpms to do 60mph doesnt sound bad at all. ill have to get it up to 100mph and see what rmps are then. guess im taking the long way to work tomorrow.....freeway

Ummmm...Any given rpm is harder for a bigger motor. 2.5k is relatively much lower for a little japanese four-cyl. Here's why: Every rotation, the motor has to pull the piston, stop it, then push it. (or in the second half of the cycle: stop it, push it up, stop it.) But, my point is that with a four cylinder, the crank is only throwin around four pistons as opposed to eight. Also, that 5.0L of displacement means much heavier collective parts weight. I'll bet your flywheel alone is twice as heavy as some little honda's.

Basically, would you be able to punch multiple times in a row faster(rpm) with the weight of 4 pistons in your hand or the weight of 8 cylinders in your hand. Most 4 cylinders will rev higher because they don't have as much weight to lug around. I wish my mustang was balanced really good so I could rev the chit (yes i did mean to say chit) out of it, mabey 12k rpm.[sm=smiley4.gif][sm=smiley4.gif][sm=smiley4.gif][sm=smiley4.gif]
