Well, it also depends on how far I want to take it. I might just do a 331 and keep it NA if its built right. I am looking for about 400rwhp. Do you think I could get that out of a well built 331?

that's about what he got out of it, but it was a high rever, around 7200rpm. if i was looking for an easy maintenance and streetable 400rwhp, i'd stick with the H/C/I and a S/C.

No, I havent called any shops yet. Should I just call and be like HEY! do you have any 331 strokers laying around? lol

Also, what is Joel selling his assembly? Maybe I will PM him.

So what do you think, go with the 331? I just want it to be decently reliable. Its not a DD but when I want to drive it I want the damn thing to run lol

i have a good suggestion, why not pick up a cheap 351w shortblock from the junk yard(local yard around here said they could sell me one for 175 to rebuild) and build that thing up, theres your insurance. It can handle more power and its like a 347 but its not even stroked yet. Much more power to come from a 351w and really isnt that much more to build one compared to a 302. You wont need a blower to get the power you want so you can save some money from that. And I plan on picking up a 351w block soon so we can share info while we build them. IMO 351w FTW!!
