Default valve lash

I've got a 95 5.0. I've got one roller rocker a little loose and can hear a little noise. Will it be safe to drive the car for a few days, or do I risk damage to my aluminum heads. Thanks

i would really recommend popping your valve cover off and figuing out whish one is loose, then tighten it a lil bit.. wouldnt wanna see you drop a rod!

well, I've driven it a couple days, I've got it in out of the weather now and can finally get around to it. With the 95 I cant just pop the valve cover off, gotta pull the upper intake as well. Anyway, you guys dont think I've hurt anything up to this point?

Anytime there is an engine noise there is potential damage. And it could wear out the guide, or wear it a funny angle. How do you know its a rocker and not a collapsed lifter?

Well it looks like you might have yourself a project for the weekend. Definitly check it out. Remember aluminum is VERY soft in comparison to cast iron, so you cant get away with engine noises as long before they wear out. And it would suck if it wore out a guide bad enough to ruin the whole head.

fairly new to the 5.0 world. There's no way to distinquish between the two until I pull the valve covers and check the rockers is there?
