me either..... mine was flat on the bottom with a small round hole that the end of the pump poked through

Yes, that is an aftermarket unit. (It has been replaced before) No fuel pump will fit in that housing. The actual ford unit is built differently and will accept mostreplacement pumps.


Here is one that more closely resembles the ford unit (notice it doesn't have that cup at the bottom)
