Roller rockers?

Roller rockers?
I was thinking about roller rockers and what they did and thought i would ask a question. How much do 1.7 rockers benefit the engine, besides being roller, and are they better then lets say 1.6?
Any input would be great.

RE: Roller rockers?
well, ur sig says you have 1.7s. I am assuming you have a stock cam. 1.7s will up the lift of a stock cam from .444 to .472 approx I think, might be a few thousanths off. some bigger cams can only accept 1.6s without hitting pistons that arent cut big enough. yes 1.7s will help slightly on NA motors that have stock heads, but to get the most advantages out of bigger lift, you need to have good flowing intake and heads too. you have ported stockers, which are ok. you might notice a bit of difference with the 1.7s and 1.6s. but not too much. Rollers def are better than non rollers. Less friction= more HP

RE: Roller rockers?
im not sure if they are or not, i preety sure they are,but not built like the ford motorsport, as far as converting, you would have to have the heads coiled for the new studs and all. if im not mistaken the pedestal are 7/16 bolts and the stud rail type are bigger studs.

RE: Roller rockers?
stock rockers are pedestal mount. and so are his. you can get pedestal mount 1.7s. to convert you must have the rocker studs mounted into your heads and use the locks that go over the top of stud mounted rockers, and of course, the rockers.

RE: Roller rockers?
Stock = pedestal. Most aftermarket heads are for stud mount rockers. The upside of studs is the strength, but they are also a bit more expensive, due to the extra parts
Edit: wow, I'm a little behind...
