I would have that thing in the shop right now if i could get it done for 50 bucks. I personally love to learn but i rather be relaxin then be underneathe a car and be full of oil and be cursin and bleedin because i have to do a tranny pull. I will prob do it myself but i will have to see. Thanks and anymore info or help would mean alot. THANKS!!

I just now realized you're talking about a manual tranny, so it might be a bit easier to get out than I originally thought. (brain fart on my part) but if you do decide to do it yourself, make sure the jack stands are safe and secure like USAMuscle said so you don't get hurt under there! I'm no manual tranny guy, but I think you can pull the trans and leave the bellhousing in place which will make it lots easier to do than if it was an auto. but don't take my word on this, ask someone who really knows!

I just recently put the engine back in my car in my drive way on jack stands I put the bellhousing on the engine before I put the engine in the car then installed the trans. later it was the third time installing the trans in my car and its not that bad! For the first time it will take you a little while but since you have had the H-pipe off recently then it wont be to bad because after that you can drop the drive shaft then the clutch cable the speedo cable then the cross member pull the 4 bolts out then it will come out. I may have forgotten a small thing or 2 but you should get the picture.

hmm it sounds good well then i will prob pull it either tomarrow night or this weekend. Thanks and any info is nothing but help for me. Original tranny so i can not say its too bad. If it is bad and i need a new one i hear that the World Class T-5 is super heavy duty and said to be bulitt proof from mechanics from shops mouths. Is this true? Does anyone have one? I would love to know that i have a strong tranny and not have to be so soft with her. If anyone knows it would be great. I mean not bad for 1299.99 on Mustangs Unlimted and guess what i live in CT and Manchester is just a hip and a hop away (30min to 45min) no shipping and no worries. Well tell me what you think.

My opinion would be to save the $200. Your going to have a lot of work ahead of you not to mention, stress, and a lot of crawling around.

you should do it yourself and spend the 200 on something else... its soooo easy... and if you could get someone to help you lift the trans out and in than it would some really easy **** than

its not that bad man, I have had mine out 2 times in the last month. pull the tranny itself and leave the bellhousing bolted up, good luck. Just get someone to help you put it back in, thats the hardest part. Good Luck. Its not that bad. Get it jacked up securely!

Well my dad loves the car so when he is in a good mood he loves to work with me on it. So i guess i will see how he is feeling and we can do the tranny pull together. Well i will tell you what goes on and what happened to the tranny. If i need to get a new one I will tell you guys that too. Alright anymore help would do nothing but really help me out. THANKS!!!
