No hacking the kit i got for $60 it had about 3 or 4 pins. you un plug the computerand the pins goes inthe back of the plug. Just like you are adding 3or4 wires to the plug. then the mass air plug (it is already hooked to the harness) routes through the firewall to the meter. It is so simple, I would not buy te complete kits... too expensive. just buy this harness and get rest from Auto Zone.

^^^ If you plan on doing major mods you'll have to conver to mass air..
I agree, and the key to this statement is Major Mods, mass air is by no means a vital upgrade for a non to lightly modified car. There has been alot of hype lately regarding mass air, there are alot of high performing cars out there that are speed density......mine included.

My 87 GT has 180,000 miles and I am pulling the engine to rebuild it and bore it out 30 over. What else can I do that will not require me to convert to mass air and have the car run better. I was thinking of putting on a GT40 intake with a bigger throttle body and change the cam. Will this work on my car?
